Roland,

A great post explaining whena and why you would want to use the "Disable ActiveSetup" option within RES WM.

I just wanted to make people aware of the Virtual Engine Toolkit (VET) that can assist with injecting ActiveSetup keys into mandatory profiles. This is obviously handy as and when additional software is installed that adds some new StubPaths.

Thanks, Iain

Great article SeanDo,

It is worth mentioning that we are keen to keep as up to date as possible with these readiness certifications, and make the investment on staying at the top of our game.

For example, our flagship product RES Workspace Manager is tested against XenApp 6.5 and XenDesktop 5.5.

Other vendors in this space seem content to stick with XenApp 5 and XenDesktop 4 - so TWO generations out of date.

Hallo

At teh Agent level, when I try to change the Workspace composer I can't change it to automatic (its grey) and its only on manual. I want to change it to automatic>

Secnd problem is: Whe nmy users log on the network (using Citrix and RES workspace 2011 as published application) they need to log on twice, 1 in Windows and other one in Citrix Receiver. How do I disable the second log in? I want the user to log in RES directly if they put their name and password in Windows.

Thnx

Sean,

I would be interested to know what were these "rogue" partners you mention? And you know, getting into your exclusive App-V partner circle was not an easy task as it was not really mentioned anywhere ;-)

All the best, you still had the best Softricity trainings, bar none!

Hi Roland,

One of the greatest performance improvements I noticed was seperating the operational database from reporting and logging. It keeps the management console responsive to administrators also.

I think this is a new feature to 2011 so definately worth mentioning :-)
