Sunny with a Chance of Cloud

Citrix is announcing updates to their CSP (Citrix Service Provider) program this week. CSP is a hosting model designed to aid hosting companies and Desktop as a Service providers.

From a product perspective, Citrix launched its CloudPortal Services Manager this morning at the event. This is looking like a great initiative to really give the service providers out there what they are crying out for.

The Portal will undoubtedly help ease the management pain associated with complex, multi-tenanted cloud-based environments. I’m pleased to confirm that RES Workspace Manager is integrated into the CloudPortal, right out of the box. 

Several service providers were informed about the CloudPortal announcement prior to Synergy (and some even got to see previews) and there was a lot of positive feedback, so we are looking forward to some great discussions and buzz this week.

As a leader in the IT as a Service space, enabling service providers is something that RES Software are very passionate about. So imagine our delight when we were invited by Citrix as one of only four partners to setup some use cases in the environment they were building for demos at Synergy. As usual, from our side, things just worked, and there were no additional steps or extra development works necessary.
